Colorway Contest Info and Rules
The Salida Fiber Festival Colorway Contest was born in 2018 with our inaugural colorway, “Alpine Meadows.” What is a colorway? A colorway is a scheme of two or more colors in which a design is created. It is often used to describe variegated or ombre (shades of one color) print yarns, fabrics, or thread. The purpose of our Colorway Contest is for the Salida Fiber Festival visitors and vendors to have a forum for expressing their creativity with fiber, not get exact color matches or to exhibit perfect techniques or skills, nor to sell items.
Rules For Entry:
Purchase materials in this year’s colorway from a Salida Fiber Festival vendor.
Make something fabulous!
Bring it to next year’s festival and enter on Saturday morning by 10:30 am.
Prizes will be awarded for winner of each category: “Peoples’ Choice” and juried for “Best Use of Color.”
