You can expect to find hand dyed small batch roving, hand spun yarns, gifts for the whole family from The Knitten Cat at this years Salida Fiber Festival.
“I’m so excited to share this year’s “Rock Collection”. Each original color is inspired by a rock or crystal and it’s healing properties. So each 4oz braid or 100g skein comes with the matching rock or crystal.
This is my first time at the Salida Fiber Festival, and I’m so excited to be a part of a wool fest that is practically in my backyard. My studio is only 2 hours away in the Vail Valley.
Being a part of the fiber community is such an amazing inter generational gift. I love learning from others and teaching what I know. When people come by my booth I’ll always have my spinning wheel going and I love sharing how it works. It seems to evoke memories of the antique at grandma’s long ago, while inviting curious minds to watch it in action. Plus I’ll always have a drop spindle available to teach others to spin when they come by.”
